Recruiting and Engaging Users: Tips From a Crowdsourcer

New York, NY
Hello friends --

Amanda Michel and Jeff Larson of ProPublica and Paul Overberg of USA TODAY will be joining ONADC next week for a workshop on crowdsourcing and how it can be used to engage users.

This session will not focus on social media specifically, like how to use Twitter or Facebook. In this session you'll learn basic volunteer management principles used by online organizers in the political world and adapted to media. This includes: writing and editing solicitations for help; designing sign-up forms; recruiting and coordinating sources and volunteers using your website, blog, Twitter, and Facebook; and choosing the right tools for your project.

This is part of the ONADC Summer Series and we hope you'll be able to join us! If you have questions please let us know. You must register for this event at
