Thanks Sonal, hope to see you at the next walk(where ever that may be)
Hi Sonal good to meet you. Thank you, the pictures turned out well.
Had a very enjoyable morning and hadn't realised how vast and nice the park is in the middle of Leicester and the weather was great too!

Hi all. Had scooter accident on dual carriageway last night. In Coventry with parents until i can do more stuff for myself. Hope to return to Leicester by bus first thing Saturday but not sure will be up to walking more than 15mins at a stretch. Is it ok if you choose a route to walk around the park among yourselves? I would like to aim to walk gently from st margarets bus station to abbey park tea rooms and meet you there around 11:45. If I do would anyone be willing to give me a lift home since its too far for me to walk home in present condition? I live next to Leicester train station. Thanks.

Hi Lizzie, I'm more than happy to give you a lift to the train station. See you Saturday. Jackie
Sorry to hear that Lizzie. Hope that you improve soon.
I think its my first chance to meet all you people....sounds exiting
thank you lizzie so our first walk with you guys will be on saturday morning then?
yes that sounds great. If you hit the 'rsvp' button for this walk and select 'yes' and add '1 guest' you will appear in the margin on the right of these comments and it helps with doing a headcount on the morning. See you at the tea rooms after you've walked round the park with the others...
Yes lee, your son is more than welcome!
hi every one, just wondering if i can attend some walks with my son?
Will see if I can make this one - may bring some kids! need to sort out babysitting before I can confirm :)

My Name is Andy Myers, I have just taken over as the Lead Organiser
The group was formed nearly Six years ago by Lizzie Hartley and since then we have had in excess of One Hundred and Thirty meetups.
As the name of the group suggests we go for a walk for around an hour, sometime a little longer and then head to a nice pub or cafe for refreshments and perhaps a bite to eat.
They are not designed to be hikes but leisurely walks and sociable meetups, and you will meet some great people.
We are always happy to see new faces, so come along and meet us.
The first couple of walks are free to new members, after which a tiny annual fee of £4 will be due, this is just to cover the costs of running the Meetup pages.
