One night, a collection of languages met a group of objects and they decided to share a cigarette over a drink. Complementing objects was easy enough for language, who found its partner so very real and touchable. Objects was mostly quiet, not finding much to say about itself, at least nothing equal to the photographs and poetry and sculpture language seemed so content and able to lavish upon it. When they made love, something was born, but soon enough it was on the lam.
We are an artist collective in Boston--photographers, writers, collage artists, performance artists, filmmakers, painters, sculpture artists, and everything in between.
On the Lam is looking for artists (in any medium) to join in our open monthly critique/workshop. Perhaps you have had trouble making work since you’ve been out of school, or finding people who want to discuss your work. Perhaps you have let your significant other, job, hobbies, depression, intense fear of making out with strangers, or desire to draw in small but quite concentric circles get the best of you. Well, we don’t want you to get over it. We want to see how you deal with the bullshit of your life and make it beautiful.
