I wanted to spread the word about two events I learned about today.
- Event at Google tomorrow at 6: New Orleans Uncovered: Revitalization, Reinvention and You, an Interactive discussion about the untold story of New Orleans presented by Idea Village - 6:00 PM Wednesday December 3 at the Googleplex in Mountain View. The Idea Village is a non-profit organization with a mission to sow the seeds of change through innovation and entrepreneurship in the New Orleans region by advocating for a culture of innovation and providing strategy, talent and resources to high impact ventures. For more information click here. The event is not listed on the site and I don't know anything else about this event so I'd probably email Idea Village directly for more information.
- "Young Women & Money Conference" @ Marriott City Center Oakland: The YWCA is having a financial conference in Oakland all day on Saturday. The flyer is here- http://www.ywca-berkeley.org/YWAMC/ The cost for women under 30 is $15, for women between 31-40 $55 and for women 40 and over $70 (how's that for a senior discount?!! I don't understand the logic of having such a hugh price disparity based on age, especially since topics seem oriented for young women anyway- just my opinion).
