Hello Andre, and welcome aboard! Admittedly we are a bit behind Biocurious in Silicon Valley and GenSpace in NYC. But with all the new people joining recently, it looks like the critical mass is being built, and will snowball.

In terms of spaces, there is interest in adding some bio-based experiments to a existing hackerspace here in town, called Vancouver Hack Space, or gaining a donated space from a company or university.

Did you know, that as a member here, everyone has the privilege to arrange meetups?! With our members' various experience, from pure life science to technology to art, any topic will gain interest. So feel free to suggest ideas, or even shoot ahead and set something up!

Cheers,

Michael

BTW. I'm out of town this week, but there's a nice event going on at VHS on Thursday. http://vancouver.hack...
