Hi everyone,

Thanks to those of you who made it out to hear Dominic Campbell (FutureGov) at our last meetup 10 October. Very big thank you to Damien Melotte (Tomorrow[at]Work) for hosting and Adrian Pyle (Uniting Church) for providing the venue at such short notice.

Very happy to finally share the video of Michel Bauwens speaking at our event co-facilitated with Daryl Taylor in September which is now available here on Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/51734362

A good friend of Open Government Melbourne, Marina Paronetto, is coordinating a really great initiative you might be interested in...

The 2012 Melbourne Sustainability Jam is happening at Swinburne Design Factory on 2-4 November.

The Jam is part of a global non profit initiative that will gather people who are passionate about sustainability, design thinking and collaboration all over the world. Fifty cities are registered to participate.

Jams are about DOING, NOT TALKING!

Participants will gather in teams to work on a new project, be it an app, product, service, campaign, or anything they get inspired by. Guided by facilitators & mentors they will have to present their project to a panel of judges and the winner will be awarded with 3 months of HubLite membership with mentoring from GetViable.
