People were hopeful, passionate, knowledgeable, and cooperative. Very promising.

It was great to see so many people interested and/or working on Open government. We should be careful not to let the conversation get too political and keep it focused what can be done to improve transparency and participation.

The meeting was fascinating because of all the meetings I've been to, participants here had the most experience with facilitating meetings -- we've participated in literally tens of thousands of meetings this size, and probably led tens of thousands of meetings of any size --, while this meeting purposely had one of the least formal meeting structures. So it was fascinating to see how we moved forward, like a collaborative game of master-level chess. I have enormous respect for so many of the people who participated, met some fantastic people, and had fun. Personally I'd love for us to start a needs list, to share resources on, and benefit from, projects we're already working on. I'm curious to see where we go.
