Chuck Tanowitz formed OpenPR (at the time we called it SoloPR) with his business partner Todd Van Hoosear in 2009 to compensate for their lack of office space and to satisfy the deep need to interact with actual Human beings that comes with working from home. Originally aimed at solo PR practitioners, Chuck quickly realized that the conversations that were happening over coffee were relevant to anyone in the PR community in the Boston area -- not just solo practitioners. Thus, OpenPR was founded. The group meets every Tuesday morning from 8:30am - 10:30am at Taste Coffee House at 311 Walnut Street in Newtonville, MA. The coffee is some of the best in Boston, and so's the conversation.
