Civic Hacking Night at the Hub – July 31

Come work on civic technology projects at the Seattle Hub!

Work on projects like  the project your team worked on during the June 1 hackathon, bring a new project, or just hang out, learn, and meet folks.

Add the project you'll be working on in the comments or check out some of these projects you can work on: – add content or work on an app that uses data from SeattleWiki.

This data about pay rate and gender in the City of Seattle was just recently posted and seems interesting: https://data.seattle.g...

Take a look at the projects by other Code for America brigades for ideas:

Open Oakland: http://openoakland.or...

Chicago: http://www.opencityap...

There are a bunch of applications that have been created by Code for America fellows or related groups that could be deployed in Seattle: http://brigade.codefo...

Amen! Say...could you remind us (asking here in case others have forgotten)... How do we get to the tool in JOSM for setting inner and outer in a multipolygon?

The OpenStreetMap "Finish up the Seattle building and address import" hackathon will be at the same time, in the same place. Fair warning: I just suggested that they (we -- I'm in both groups) try to get the Code for Seattle meetup to work on the OpenStreetMap import. We're really close to having it finished, so want to make a push to get it done. You don't need mapping experience -- we'll teach you how to do it.
