Open Source.. Movie Making

Just a few quick links about open methodologies in use outside of computing...

Most recent was Big Buck Bunny. A computer animated short film produced entirely on Blender (open source 3D modeling program). Amazing quality. You can watch it online, or find a torrent for it.

Fun, but it was still *computer* generated. How about a entire live action SciFi built in the open with no closed door cigar smoke filled meetings? Where the open part is in the way the production gets done?

Will this *change hollywood*? Who knows. but it sounds like the creator is really into her project and cares about the community building around the film. Get your name in the credits!
