Yep.  the Baseboard Management functionality on the serverboards at this point provides basic management, hardware status/config/monitoring, as well as KVM over IP.  Took me a while of trolling Newegg for sales and eBay so it didn't cost me a bundle though (since the before mentioned are for home lab usage) and I was going for full on dual processor Opteron 6200 configs.  The single proc configs are cheaper.   That for me has worked out much BETTER than my previous KVM's overall since I don't have to have an extra keyboard and monitor near the servers themselves which has allowed better reconfig of the server closet.   I just use my laptop or desktop to get in now.

To get some really cool remote stuff still requires an HP, IBM or the new Cisco stuff, but Tyan, Supermicro and Asus make some pretty good server boards.  Some of the basic ones can be had for not much more than a good desktop board.
