Meetup details changed: Open Source Saturday

From: John F.
Sent on: Tuesday, February 25, 2014 11:23 PM

I've updated this Meetup. For more details, see the full listing:

When: Saturday, March 1,[masked]:00 AM

Souza time again!  Wait, that's not the right march? OK, while I research that here is what we are doing on Sat...

Gitlab Demo
Ian has implemented Git at his work, and will do a show and tell.  Might even be about Gitlab.  Want to know more? Join the club, show up on Sat. :)

Kingsoft Office Demo
Kingsoft Office is a tiny (comparatively)  office suite from China.  While it successfully mimics the infamous ribbon interface, it has limited file-format filters.  For instance, it does NOT support ODF simply because the project only has 7 coders (that's what they say).  Good to know about, and good for lower power systems!

Britain keeps pushing Microsoft's buttons by suggesting that vendor lock-in might not be in citizen consumer's interest.  They push back. (These rock!)
