This hackathon format is evolving. We will hold two tracks side by side in the same space. A bit of OpenStack training and some hacking on a common blueprint and/or bug.

This week:

• training

• blueprint and/or bug

Attend remotely via hangout. The link will be posted as a comment here and tweeted out via @sarob 15 minutes before the meetup starts.

Updates will be published via the meetup email list, OpenStack community blog, and twitter via @sarob or @hpcloudangel.

Excellent MeetUp. Big thanks to Sean Roberts and Mike Aday for leading a rousing discussion about how to contribute to OpenStack.

Two OpenStack meetups at the same location at the same time?
    Both SFBay OpenStack Hackathon #OSSFO
    and
South Bay OpenStack Meetup, Beginner track
are shown on Meetup as meeting in the same cafeteria at the same time.
Just asking if this is the intention.

As Vincent said, there are two meetup tracks: 1) the "Hackathon" track is held TWICE-a-month, 2) the "Beginner" track is held ONCE-a-month, and will coincide with the first the "Hackathon" in any given month. The "Beginner" track is much more popular. The "Hackathon" traditionally focuses on issues of creating the training-guide.

@Rick and Vincent - I repeat: both are scheduled for the same ROOM (cafe). I have been to the #OSSFO meeting before, but this time the instructions say it is in the cafeteria, not in some other room. I'm guessing that the announcement is mistaken in that regard.

@Bill From previous meetups the beginner track is done in HP's "food court", and the hack is done in a separate room. So yeah same place.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
