Great question this week, the two Sean's Rob & Winn added some solutions aspect to openstack networking... Just an explanation for Nova-Network or Quantum-network... Use Linux Bridge as simple L2 mechanism for adding bridge like[ $ brctl show] , to see all bridges within VM or host and use[ $ brctl -- help ] to see how to add bridge and associate with Interface like eth0 or eth1 and then configure your L3 network with Ifconfig or through /etc/network/interfaces on Ubuntu or RHEL/Fedora/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts on your virtualbox / VMplayers / VMware WS8 based Linux Openstack cloud controller. Same is true for single Interface card making sure the external Interface is assigned 0.0.0.0 with Promiscus mode on, while Internal bridge caries the static or dhcp Ip for VM to external Networks and other VMs on other hosts. Come join us next session in two weeks if you want answers to your networking problems on Openstack...Forgot Malini's Security Blueprint from Intel, yes do support it its a great way to use openstack in Gov & Biz with simple key value based encryption add on to swift ...Enjoy rp
