Community: The Beatitudes

The Open Table is not a "Christian group," but we are not opposed to Christianity either.

This particular meetup is not one of our main discussion get togethers, but rather a meetup on the side.

We are doing this in order to meet the needs of those who are interested in learning more about Christianity or are already Jesus followers and want to dig deeper into the Christian faith through the teachings of Jesus and the fathers of the Christian movement. Therefore, I know this won't appeal to everyone who is part of the Open Table, but it is open to all.

The focus of this gathering will be on the Beatitudes in Matthew chapter 5. Go ahead and read all of them before hand, though the two we'll be focusing on this week are "Blessed are the peacemakers..." and "Blessed are those who are persecuted..."

Please note this will be at Scully's Bar and Grill on Walnut Street.  See you all there!

I know we usually held this conversation at Dobra so I just wanted to note that tomorrow's talk will be at Scully's. I'm looking forward to seeing you all!

hey Jeremy, hope you saw a message I tried to send the group, that I couldn't come tonight. I hate that I'm missing these, but seems between family obligations and work travel, I'm just not in synch. I'll keep trying.

I did get your message and I'm sorry you weren't able to make it out. Hopefully you can make it to the next one!

I am very disappointed that I had to leave town, and can't make it. I really want to catch up with this conversation.

I'm sorry you won't be able to make it as well. We'll continue to have these studies/conversations once or twice a month as long as my work schedule allows.
