Learners Meetup #1

This is our first Learners Meetup in Stockholm, aimed at everyone who's learning to code, to develop software or anything tech related. This includes both absolute beginners as well as developers who want to get new tech skills and get into passionate conversations about it. After all: we are all Learners!

The format of the meetup will be:

Scheduled talks (~20mins each)

# Arduino My Friend – Ellen Sundh @ellensundh

Ellen talks about Arduino and similar circuit boards. She will show different sensors and the functionality of the board together with Arduino projects she has been working on.

Ellen has a long time developer background, and she knows the current publishing platforms and programming environments like her own backyard. With a strong focus on interactive media Ellen has fought on the front-line of the web, mobile, social media and electronics for the last decade. Previously to Society 46, Ellen worked with some of the leading interactive agencies in Sweden and UK like Great Works, Starring, Dancing Bee and Digit London.

# Smooth lists with List.js – Jonny Strömberg @javve

Jonny will talk about what List.js is and how to use it to ease your web development.

About Jonny: passionate designer & Javascript hacker since 1998 ensuring that things happen. Creator of,, & more. Daytime designer at Mynewsdesk.

Inspired by Berlin's wonderful Hack'n'Tell (, this is a chance for you to share with others what you have learned, what code you have written, some questions you have (there are no dumb questions!) or something you are stuck on. You don't have to prepare anything, you only have 5 minutes anyways. Just bring your laptop - who knows - maybe there is something you have learned that is really helpful to others!

The event's awesome venue is kindly provided by The HUB Stockholm.

Free drinks will be offered by our lovely sponsor Mynewsdesk.

We suggest you grab something to eat before hand (or bring it with you) if you think you might get hungry before 9:00 pm (when we'll wrap-up the event).
