After running this workshop successfully once in Tel Aviv, twice in Berlin and more often in Melbourne and Stockholm, it is now offered again to the people of Tel-Aviv to get them started in programming using Python - no prior knowledge required. So if you are interested in learning programming hands-on and with amazing coaches around, using the great PythonTurtle workshop we've prepared for you, please sign up. And yes, it's free.
If you already know how to program and want to learn python, please come but do contact us in advance. Our team of coaches will prepare relevant learning materials (but only if we know you're coming). If you already know your way around python and would like to help others learn, we would like you to come as a coach. If that's the case, please (after rsvp-ing) talk to us, so we'll get to know you a bit and possibly increase our learner capacity.
You will need to bring your own laptop in order to participate with a recent python (2.7) installed. If you have a recent Mac or Linux, this is pre-installed, you are covered. If you are running Windows, please install from here, or let the organizers know in advance so they can help you set it up.
Because the number of seats is limited, it is important that you only sign up if you definitely plan on coming (and do so, too!). If you can't make it for any reason, please cancel your attendance on Meetup right away so your someone on the waiting list can take your place. Thanks!
We will be hosted once again by Hamifal, who are kindly providing us with the beautiful and comfortable learning space pictured below. The address is Bar-Yochai 5, Tel Aviv (map).
Due to requests, the workshop will begin at 19:00, half an hour earlier than originally published.
Wow! The waiting list is so long that even after more coaches will register and we increase the workshop size accordingly, there will still probably be some people left out because the venue can't accomodate so many. Don't worry - we're going to host this workshop again soon. In the meantime, please RSVP anyway in case more places appear, and please unRSVP if you can't make it, so that somebody else can take your place.
