Who Are the Organizers?

The Animal Rights National Conferences have been organized since 1981 by the Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM) with some breaks between 1987 and 2000, then every year since 2000. They are typically co-sponsored by about a dozen national organizations.

Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM) is a 501(c)(3) national nonprofit organization working to end the use of animals for food through public education and grassroots activism. We believe in the inherent self-worth of animals, as well as environmental protection and enhanced public health. Find out more at www.farmusa.org.

  • The Bark & Meow F.

The Bark & Meow Foundation, an animal advocacy 501(c)(3) non profit, is looking for partners to start a "resale boutique and cat cafe". We are currently looking for a commercially zoned, multi-use building
with high foot and vehicle traffic within the Southern CA area. Net profits will be used to support animal rescue organizations especially in the area of spay and neuter programs. Please contact us for inquiries at: [masked]. Our organization understands the diminishing ability to apply for grants and the ongoing struggle to ask for donations. The concept of a resale boutique and cat cafe will provide for a more reliant and continuous source of funds. Let's become more business savvy and work together to end the horrific practice of abuse, abandonment and exploitation of animals.

The Animal Rights National Conference takes place every other year on the West Coast (It alternates between the East Coast and the West Coast, and for scheduling reasons it hasn't been on the West Coast in 3 years!)

So try to attend if you can, whether for the full conference or just for a day or 2. The exhibits are free and you can attend one daytime session for free if you don't have the funds to go for a full day of sessions. Here's the conference website:
