Why is Tahiti one of my favorite places on the planet? Because It is just so incredibly beautiful and peaceful with the crystal clear waters of the protected lagoons, the jagged peaks that the clouds rest on, then you’ve got the people and culture! It all paints a picture of perfection that you will fall in love with. I have brought groups to Tahiti 9 times now. On our last two trips we actually snorkeled with humpback whales! Once again we are timing our trip where we'll be in the middle of whale season so those people who want to participate in this experience will get their chance.
This year we have added an extra night for a total of 9-nights. We'll have 7-nights on Moorea, and two nights on the island of Tahiti which is everything you could want out of a visit to Tahiti. Moorea is a small island that is mostly unchanged over the last 50 years. You will love the quaint pensions and cute restaurants, palm trees that dip over the water and the dreamy, multi-hued water in the lagoons that the reef protects. Once again, because of our long term relationship with The Pearl Resort we’ve been given an incredible group discount at this truly upscale, 4-star resort situated in a picturesque setting with an infinity pool, white sand beach and over-water bungalows. We've stayed here 4 times now and everyone always loves it. Check out http://www.spmhotels.com/resort/moorea to take a look.
So what's to do on Moorea? There’s plenty of great sightseeing and tours including scuba diving with their famous shark feeding, snorkeling with sting rays, dolphins and whales, visiting off-shore motu’s (small islands), 4-wheel motor scooter rentals where you can ride around the whole island or just relaxing by the pool. With our group rates we will save on the average of 20% on all of our tours.
Tahiti is not as expensive as some people might have heard either, as long as you know how to do it. I will be your guide and I know this island very well now and will lead the way. There are a variety of room options at our hotel. The base price is for the Garden Rooms, but for a little more you can have your own room in their Family rooms with two floors, or for just $300 you can upgrade to a Gardenpool Bungalows which have more space, stand alone and offer their own private plunge pool! Premium Beach bungalows are an additional $480 which are located directly on their private beach and then there are the Premium Overwater Bungalows (see photo above) that you may have dreamed of that are $1,130 additional. That is per person for the entire 7 nights in Moorea. The rack rate alone on these bungalows is over $600 per night so this is really a great deal. But there is nothing wrong with the basic Garden Rooms. You are in paradise! And these are very nice rooms. All have air conditioning and a mini-bar. Let us know when you sign up if you would like to pay for this upgrade. Our stay will also include the fabulous breakfast buffet (reg. $36 per day).
Our hotel in Papeete (the island of Tahiti ) is at another wonderful hotel called Manava Suite Resort and you will love it here as well. Our past trips only spent one night in Tahiti and we really didn't have time to explore this island at all. So this time we will stay for 2-nights and will arrange an optional tour of the island. This hotel has gorgeous, modern and very large rooms, a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the ocean with views of Moorea. It is a very nice way to cap off our Tahiti vacation.
