If you have never been to this place, you are about to discover a true hidden gem. All the food is freshly-prepared, delicious and vegetarian, including soups, open-faced sandwiches on home-baked bread, and tempting desserts. Locally produced art is on the walls. It's a peaceful space. It's uniquely a nonprofit restaurant. The servers are volunteers, and the major percentage of tips go to a charity of the month. There's also a small bookstore here, which specializes in spiritual and social justice titles and also carries a few unique gift items including jewelry, greeting cards, and textiles. They sell a ringbound cookbook of recipes from the restaurant. A few free parking spaces are in the lot behind the building (watch the signs.) Otherwise, bring quarters for ample on-street parking right outside. On the #7 and #2 bus lines. Food plus tax and tip will probably run you $9-$12.

I got some internet info that the group was disbanded so I did not attend.

This was my first Meetup for the TC Organic group. It was fun to meet Kathy and Sheryl (and her son). Had a tasty lunch and enjoyed chatting about food issues and ideas for future meetups.
