Tower Gardening

We will be having our first monthly organic and beyond potluck Sunday February 24th starting at 12pm.

It will be meant to introduce new people to a healthy food lifestyle or for those very flexible in their diet. Please bring an organic vegetarian or vegan food dish, a store packaged item is fine too but if you do please remember it should say "Organic" not just "All Natural" and read the labels carefully because they can be very misleading.

Member Deborah F., has welcomed us this time to her nice house with a large front and backyards that can hold a large number of people with plenty of parking space.

We will provide plates/utensils this time at no cost, you provide the food and drinks!

P.S.

Also, after eating Irlianna would like to give an updated presentation of The Tower Garden hydroponic & aeroponic system that we did a Meetup for almost a year ago. And now she has newer PowerPoint slides and other technologies to show.

The Tower Garden:

The Tower Garden is a breakthrough in food growing and organic gardening. Learn how this patented system invented by EPCOT's former Chief Horticulturist is revolutionizing how we feed ourselves. According to Columbia University professor Dickson Despommier, author of Vertical Farming, this method of gardening is the new paradigm for Earth to gain sustainability on a mass scale. Irlianna Samsara of Living Tower Farms and NSA will show how we can use this easy-to-use technology to grow massive yields with miniscule water and nutrients, producing 'beyond organic', nutrient-dense food.

Green thumb, black thumb or no thumb, the Tower Garden allows even inexperienced growers and apartment dwellers to produce abundant food in a fraction of the time it would take to grow the same crops in soil. Cut your produce bill in half and save a fortune while helping the Earth repair and renew!

Thanks Deb and Robert for hosting, and making so many beautiful dishes! Forgot to mention one more benefit of Tower Gardening: online forums and toll free customer support from NSA. Any and all questions answered. Great growing tips too. It's been as fun & rewarding for us to grow food on the Tower as it is in the ground. Truly a remarkable and one of a kind invention. Suggestion: if people have extra produce from their gardens, perhaps this would be an good occassion to bring it and trade.

Maybe we can do it Saturday next time. Sundays don't usually work for me.

This was a great social and educational event. All indoors for those who feared the rain. Tom Bunch is one hella gardener. I'm consulting him when I'm ready. I was skeptical about the Tower Garden having been an avid gardener for decades. She sold me. This system is about production. Getting your hands dirty though is more fun and soulful.

Thanks for inviting me back, Curt! Thanks for having us, Deborah! It's been a great year growing on the tower. Will bring some of the kale and spinach plants that have grown like monsters. I'm saving about $92 a month on just kale and spinach alone. Cheap organic is the way to go.
