Total Body Defence Goshinkwai’s founder and chief Instructor Alun Williams will be offering a tailored seminar for us. This will be Alun's first seminar in the U.S. exclusively at our Meetup.
Having consistently trained and instructed within Martial Arts and Self-Defence systems for over 20 years, Alun offers vast experience within this field, having trained hundreds of students and helped coach numerous Dan grades.
Alun trained predominantly in the Goshinkwai Ryu Yawara Renmei system, Alun was
granted special dispensation to run his first club at only 2nd Kyu. At grade 2nd Dan, he was formerly invited to train under his most influential Instructor, Soke-Dai John Warfield. This furthered his progression and he attained 5th Dan in this system. Alun is now the Chief
Instructor and founder of the Total Body Defence Goshinkwai organisation and has been
received Internationally as a Martial Arts instructor with published articles in major
Martial Arts magazines, as well as being featured in television programs, radio and numerous newspaper media.
This highly innovative style is rooted in some of the most ancient of combative forms. It incorporates principles of striking, grappling & footwork and is a pure combat/self-defense.
Many of his students have progressed to run their own established classes and some have gone on to train some of the worlds most elite forces including the renown S.A.S. Alun's professional approach to his training and running of the organisation has been reflected in the outstanding quality of his first Instructional DVD release, which won DVD of the Year at the Seni2008, Europe's largest Martial Arts Exhibition as well as numerous high-level reviews and offically endorsed by John Mac, ex-SAS Veteran.
Alun just recently made 7 pages of Martial Arts Illustrated this month, the UK's leading MA magazine, which is also sold worldwide.
