This group is for women, created by women.
We are here to support other women in business.
Please do not ask if any men can participate. This is our sisterhood! Therefore, the simple answer is "NO they may not".
5:45pm - 6:15pm
You are welcome to bring "some" materials to set up for display regarding your business. Please do not bring an entire tradeshow layout. One or two fliers or brochures, plus your business cards are sufficient. This will be your opportunity to talk about your specific product or service with each other.
Name Tags will be available if you do not already have one of your own. Please be sure to wear one.
The $2.00 charge is to help subsidize the organizer who has already paid Meet-Up for the opportunity to provide this group for the next 6 months. Please pay in cash only upon arrival.
- We lock the door! Part of being a professional is being on time. We all know that "life happens", however everyone has been given a half-hour to arrive; and it is very disruptive to those giving their 30 second infomercial when people walk in late. We want to give our respect and attention to those who are present. Thank you in advance for understanding why we have decided on this protocol.
6:15pm - 7:15pm
This will be more structured, giving each woman the opportunity to practice her 30 second elevator speech. When 30 seconds is done, I will stand up indicating for you to finish your sentence and let the next woman go.
Next we will have one speaker who will be given 15-30 minutes to provide more of a general training that would be practical for everyone to implement in their business, or for their personal growth. For example: someone who sells skin care products has the ability to educate us on proper skin care without pushing their particular product line.
We like to share information about local events or networking opportunities. If you know of an opportunity, please e-mail the information to me. To save time, I will announce all the upcoming events before we move into the final open networking time. Also let me know if you will be providing any handouts regarding the event.
7:15pm - 7:45pm
We have a hard stop time of 7:45pm. The library closes at 8pm, and groups are required to be out of the meeting rooms 15 minutes before closing. If you are deep in conversation, just take it into the hall, or if it's a nice night, step outside.
We will have a Business Card Binder where you may place two of your business cards. Then, if you can't make a meeting, and someone wanted to contact you, we will still have your information available to pass along, even in your absence.
