I'm changing things up a bit and adding a few fun extras this week - don't miss out!
1 More Day Until Next Group Run - RSVP Today!
Group run for women in Orlando and surrounding areas. Have fun and get in shape. Meet local women with a passion for running. Women runners of all types and pace levels are invited. This is also a great opportunity to meet other women runners to make your own individual running buddies.
ATTENTION: Max of 20 runners per run / week due to local permitting.
You can RSVP by using Meetup.com OR email me directly at [masked]
I’ve been getting a lot of inquiries from women who are beginners or getting back into running after a hiatus… I cannot stress enough that this group is for women of all ages and most of all, all pace and experience levels. I myself just had a baby 4 months ago and getting back into the swing. The past three runs have been a great mix of pace levels - walking and running is definitely permitted =)
There is a $2 voluntary fee which helps cover the cost of water and snacks. RSVP is extremely important so I have a head-count when going out to buy / prepare. We don't want to be wasteful... it's bad for the earth and our pocketbooks.
Next run scheduled for Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.
The group will meet and start run at R.D. Keene's Point Park in Windermere. The run will be a distance of 4 miles or 6 miles. If you don't think you can run 4 miles that's ok, you can walk part of it too.
R.D. Keene's Point Park
10900 Chase Road, Windermere, FL 34786
Old school driving directions I put together
Windermere is not too far from the Mall of Millenia and has running routes. It's safe and traffic is slow. Many triathlons, cycling and running events are done here. People who are doing the upcoming Disney marathon in January, part of the run is through the Windermere area. It's a 4-mile / 6-mile course with scenic views, paved, shady & sunny, varying gradients, twists & turns and a small bridge that overlooks the water. You choose to do the 4 or 6 mile run.
If you have any questions or would like to volunteer please call Wendy at [masked] or [masked]

Many thanks to everyone for coming out and making this week a lot of fun. Also a big thank you to everyone who helped me today... Deanna checking everyone in, Erica's runner number arm art, Joanna with the group stretch, and Doreen and Shelly with helping assemble the snack bags.
I want to come, but this saturday probably won't work since the hubby can't watch my 2 and half year old daughter
