Improv 201

  • Mar 5, 2013 · 8:30 PM

Welcome to the next level of improv! This class will discuss and implement advanced improv techniques and try out some of the craziest and wackiest stuff known to man. Expect to come and do anything and everything.

This week we'll be exploring the work of a man named Del Close. The Harold long format and I'll be passing out the first fruits of the improv 201 fees: Some great improv books about Del and Long Form improv.

Note: This meetup costs $3 to attend per workshop. This is fairly trivial compared to every other paid class in Orlando, and is only to show some commitment to learning advanced improv. The money from these classes will be put into two things 1) Contributing to our host venue 2) Investing in future shows / performance spaces. I will not be keeping any of this money for myself. Compared to what's currently available, I think this is a rather reasonable request. Please email me if you disagree and I'd love to hear your opinion on the matter. (no sarcasm there.) I'm committed to always offering a free and open workshop for the public. If you're looking for that, check out the Improv 101 workshops!

Note on who can sign up: If you feel like you're ready, then sign up. If I see anybody on the list who I am hesitant about taking the workshop, I'll email or call you directly to work this out. :) But don't be shy!
