Tantra Prana Energy Meditation
This is a wonderful and lively breathing meditation technique that last for half an hour.
Tantra Prana energy meditation has 3 steps:
First step: Breath out, exhaling in rhythm from your navel centre.
Second Step: Lie down, let the breath regain its natural rhythm. Passive alertness and watching the breath become slow and absolute still.
Third Step: Sit up straight, let your energy move to 3rd eye (the middle point between eyebrows). Feel your 3rd eye from within.
Clothing - Wear lose athletic clothes or a meditation robe (preferably maroon color).
Osho Kundalini Meditation:
"...Allow the shaking, don't do it. Stand silently, feel it coming, and when your body starts a little trembling help it - but don't do it. Enjoy it, feel blissful about it, allow it, receive it, welcome it - but don't will it. If you force it, it will become an exercise, a bodily physical exercise. Then the shaking will be there but just on the surface, it will not penetrate you. You will remain solid, stone like, rock like within; you will remain a manipulator, the doer, and the body will just be following. The body is not the question - you are the question." - Osho
Osho Kundalini Meditation lasts for one hour and has four stages, three with music, and the last without. The music has been composed under Osho's direct guidance specially for this particular meditation. If you would like to try, it is described below. Remember that the last stage is in silence! ... and a gong will signal the end of the silent period -- promise!
OSHO KUNDALINI MEDITATION - Detailed Instructions:
1st Stage (15 Minutes)
Shake the body: Be loose and let your whole body shake, feeling the energies moving up from your feet. Let go everywhere and become the shaking. Your eyes may be open or closed. All four stages are indicated by music
2nd Stage (15 Minutes)
Dance: Dance… any way you feel, and let the whole body move as it wishes. Again, your eyes can be open or closed.
3rd Stage (15 Minutes)
Observe in silence: Close your eyes and be still, sitting or standing, observing, witnessing, whatever is happening inside and out.
4th Stage (15 Minutes)
Lie down in silence: Keeping your eyes closed, lie down and be still.
"My teaching is meditation. Meditation means to me, witnessing on three levels: action of the body, thoughts of the mind, feelings of the heart. Once a person becomes aware of these three things, the fourth step happens on its own accord. A quantum leap, suddenly he is at his very center, which is his life, deathless life. You can call it his soul, his being, and it is the greatest bliss in existence. There is nothing above it.
Meditation simply means a discipline that makes you capable of being aloof and detached from your mind. So even if the mind is sick, your consciousness is never sick. Even if your mind is going crazy, you are just witnessing it. Mind is only a machine. You are not. Meditation is the experience: "I am not my body, not my mind -- I am the witness of it all." This experience, this transcendental experience, immensely transforms the whole situation. Many things which were driving you crazy simply drop away.
Slowly slowly each act of your life should turn into a meditative act. Then there is a possibility to attain to enlightenment. Then you can sit also because that too is an act, but you are not specifically identifying sitting with meditation -- that too is a part. Walking you meditate, working you meditate, sometimes sitting silently you meditate, sometimes lying on your bed you meditate... meditation should become your constant companion.
And this meditation that can become constant companion is a very simple thing, I call it witnessing. Just go on witnessing whatsoever is happening. Walking you witness, sitting you witness, eating you witness yourself eating, and you will be surprised that the more you witness things the better you can do them because you are non-tense, their quality changes. You will also note that the more meditative you become every gesture of yours becomes soft, non-violent, has a grace in it. And not only you will notice it, others will start noticing it."
