After looking at the map of NYC, I see that the Upper East Side is barely mapped at
all, which is strange considering how many stores and boutiques it has, as well as
places of historical significance.
So let's try mapping the UES, starting at 11am on Saturday, the 17th. Let's meet at
the corner of 59th and 5th avenue at the corner, near the pool with the small
fountains in the center.
Also, as an aside, during my trip to Toronto, I took one of those bus tours where you
listen to a guide tell you all about the city.
I was thinking about all the walking tours in NYC, and some of them are actually in
podcast form, such as the series the NY Times did in 2007, "Weekend Explorer":
So we could certainly follow that route, if people want, or we could just walk along as a group up 5th, Madison or Park.
Anyone have thoughts on this?
I'll be looking for a location where we can do some data entry later in the week (when it's not raining).
