Do you have an idea for a startup, and you're looking for a team of founders to help you get your idea off the ground? Or do you not have a burning idea, but you'd be interested finding someone with a compelling idea, so you can get in on the ground floor?

At OTBC, we'd like to find a way for entrepreneurs and prospective founders to find each other. Come join us for a chat about ideas for helping entrepreneurs get exposure for their ideas. How can we help idea people and prospective founders find each other? We'd like to hear your ideas.

Superb meeting! Great people, productive networking, and nicely focused discussion. I look forward to the one-on-one "tech speed dating."

    •  Hi Steve, I attended the Brown bag Lunch on 1/12; I was pleasantly surprised by the number of attendees. It was very heartening to see so much interest in entrepreneurism. I was the one who suggested that OTBC should provide a forum for entrepreneurs, allowing them to present their new business ideas. The OTBC forum would be a great way for the members to learn about what is important for their business and their presentations. I like the idea of a "lunch table" business plan, a 20,000 foot view. "Deals" presented and all the comments fed back could be stored as unique categorized case studies. These records would be invaluable materials for other OTBC entrepreneurs. I would be happy to help flesh out this idea; if a template is necessary, I would be happy to help develop same. Regards, Henry Gregor StrategicVisions
    •  I very much enjoyed the Brown Bag. A lot of info was going around, very lively. I made contact with two very solid individuals. Good job on the moderating Steve, thanks.
    •  I loved the idea of "speed-dating for founders". Count me in.
    •  A mechanism for sharing essentials of a business concept within a closed Oregon community is a fantastic idea. Having a community-wide ethic of confidentiality would be extremely helpful in sharing ideas more openly. Combined with a checklist of "skills have" and "skills need", it would be a great way to lend structure to regular meetings for meet and greets with potential founding team members.
    •  It was EXTREMELY productive for me! More so than I had imagined given most interests were around software development instead of hardware. There was truly good energy at this meeting with an EXCELLENT turnout! THANKS A MILLION Steve for putting this together and thanks to all for contributing to a healthy discussion during some rather difficult times.
    •  A+ Nice work!
    •  Exceeded my expectations - I'm ecstatic to learn that the Portland region has many optimists and entrepreneurs.
    •  Two words: speed dating! Pretty good use of time for the first meeting. (Patents, while interesting, might be a better topic for a separate Brown Bag). The next meetings can use something like speed dating to get prospective entrepreneurs in front of prospective founders in what I think will be an effective manner!
