FastTrac® Boot Camp Day1
This 2 day boot camp is focused on "how to" information, and then gives you time to go implement what you've learned, but with the option to come back and get coaching, ask questions, and get feedback. We focus on modules 1-4 and 6 of the FastTrac® TechVenture™ program. In particular, the topics we will focus on include:
- How to size your market
- How to validate your market
- How to value price your product or service
- How to evaluate the feasibility of your business
- How to develop financial projections
We cover the above "how to" topics in 2 days. Then for the following 30 days, you work on actually doing those tasks, each of which is a very key aspect to putting together a business. And during that 30 days, you can come back had get feedback (e.g., you can sit down with an OTBC coach and go over your market research survey, or your financial projections or ask questions).
And you get access to the entrepreneur manual and online tool kit for the award winning FastTrac® TechVenture™ entrepreneurship program from the Kauffman Foundation.

HaydenI attended both days of the FastTrac Boot camp and found it to be helpful because it provided an organized template with many of the details that require attention as one evauates a potential venture. Since I am a non IT person the exposure to non-biotech approach and thought process was enlignting. I think the most important things that I took away from this effort was the establishment of a schedule, a source of potential assistance, the realization of the need to better mine the resources of other groups (Oregon Biosciences) and a different/bett
er marketing approach. I will continue to evaluate this research service project as well as other potential projects.
