TO BE RESCHEDULED

This event conflicted with an open source licensing lunch on the same day being held by the Oregon State Bar Computer and Internet Law Section (CILS) so we area rescheduling this event to avoid the conflict. You can read about the CILS event at this link.

We've closed the "Yes" and "Maybe" RSVPs until we get this rescheduled

We apologize for any inconvenience!!!

TO BE RESCHEDULED

=======================================================

Anne Glazer of Lane Powell and Prof. Bart Massey of PSU will present this Lunch and Learn program. Technology startups face the challenge of making rapid headway while effectively navigating fast-moving legal and IP waters. Open technology can be a huge help, but often legal misconceptions and confusions prevent entrepreneurs from choosing the right open source course. This program will present some basic precepts of law and organization (with recent real-world examples) that an entrepreneur should know to in order for their business to best ride the open source tide. If you are an open source entrepreneur, or just want to understand it better, you won't want to miss this event!

This Lunch and Learn event is part of the nine event Legal Series being presented jointly by OTBC the OEN the SAO and the PDC. This series of events will address a number of key issues that face any startup. And for the first time, we'll be presenting these topics both at OTBC, and at PDC's facility in downtown Portland. So whether you're on the west-side or downtown, or even on the east-side, we have a convenient venue near you
