Boardgame Night at the Royal Oak! Everything from Monopoly to Settlers of Catan to Cosmic Encounter to even more strange and Esoteric Titles! Come one, come all, newbies welcome! Lots of fun people to meet! Lots of new games to play! Bring a friend and briing a game and have a beer with a bunch of boardgame geeks!

BG NIGHT 2.0 is now in FULL EFFECT!!

We've ramped things up, and since we've become a bigger group, I've decided to make some things more official.

We will now be charging 1 dollar in dues each Monday, half of which goes to the bar staff for being such gracious hosts, the other half goes into an awesome gaming club for YOU!

Monthly raffle/door prizes, a membership card getting you discounts at various gaming stores around town and more!

For more details and to discuss these new changes, see the post in the discussion forums here on meetup!

Cheers, and happy gaming!

***A NOTE ON THE START TIMES***

This event was previously said to start at 7, but as the group has evolved, it's become popular to get there -before- 7 to eat, socialize, etc. This is great! But for new players it can be intimidating to show up at 7 and have everything in full swing. To address this, I'm suggeswting people show up at 6:15-6:30 to get settled in. ALSO, we've instituted an "Ambassador Program" to help get new members settled in. So, when you show up at the board game night, look for me (Jordan) or the Ambassadors table, and introduce yourself. Thanks for making this event awesome, and see you soon!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
