An evening of travel talk, networking and charity - all in one!

Ottawa is ready to begin it's first and very own Go Girl Travel Meetup!  We couldn't be more excited to get Go Girl started up in Canada.  What's Go Girl Travel you ask?

"Go Girl Travel Network is a community of 10,000 women in 110 countries around the world — and growing. We tell stories and share tips about places we’ve been, we network with one another both in person and online, and we encourage the women of the world to be bold, brave and adventurous. We are pioneers, even in the smallest of ways. We live to challenge our mindsets, expand our horizons and embrace our world. And Go Girl is the community that connects us together when the earth is perhaps too big to cover completely on foot."

We're bringing the strong, travelling women of Ottawa together to network, swap travel stories, inspire and encourage others.

The first Go Girls of Ottawa couldn't be happening at a better time.  On April 23rd restaurants across the country will be participating in A Taste For Life (http://www.atasteforlife.org/) in which 25% of their evening sales will go towards local AIDS Services Organizations in their community.  Restaurants across Ottawa will be supporting Bruce House and Snowy Owl AIDS Foundation.  Go Girl Ottawa will be meeting at The Black Thorn Cafe which is participating in A Taste For Life - so not only will we be meeting to get your travel talk on; our Meetup will also be able to do some good within the Ottawa community.

The Black Thorn Cafe is located at 15 Clarence Street in the Byward Market right downtown.

Go Girls of Ottawa will be meeting at The Black Thorn Cafe at 7:00pm, there will be a table with a Go Girls of Ottawa sign - surrounded by strong, travelling women!

We look forward to seeing you there!

I really enjoyed my time chatting with the other girls and getting travel trips. I would have liked a chance to meet all of the other members who came,

Really enjoyed meeting the ladies at my table. Great conversation even though it was not just travel talk. Would have been nice to have a nice breaker or chance to mingle with everyone else. Still I had a great night!

Thank you to all you amazing women who made our first meet up a great success! Everyone was so friendly, had superb stories to share and stellar attitudes! A Taste For Life did really well at The Black Thorn last night and I'm so glad we ladies got to be a part of it. Can't wait to see you all next time!
