An enjoyable event. Did HAO have to pay something for the room? I think that Humanist events should be free for non-members. Otherwise those interested (prospective members) would rather stay away.

We had to pay $75 for the room plus party supplies. We charged non-members $5.00 which would be waived if they joined. We charge because otherwise members would be subsidizing non-members. Some non-members have attended several events but not joined. We have to question what commitment they have to our association if they are not even interested in paying our lowest membership fee of $10.00. If they would rather stay away than pay a small fee - do really need such people?

A really nice party... good food, great company and a fine compilation of humanist songs. I enjoyed seeing old friends and new faces.

The party was a great success - thank you to everyone who came despite the snow storm and the cold! There was enough food to feed an army. And thank you for your donations for the food bank - the box was full. Seasons Greetings and a Happy New Year.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
