Ethics Book Club: Plato

Once again, we will try to meet and discuss the Euthyphro, Crito and Republic Book 2. Downstairs. I find it rather interesting reading this concurrently with the Bhagavad Gita.

Actually, the number 2 bus from Rideau street will take you to 180 Richmond road.

Is there a alternate Superstore located closer to some convenient public transport for all you bus riders?

An excellent new location has been found! If enough people suggest, we could move the next meeting to another similar venue, but this is the one that I've scouted out already, so that's it for this Friday

    Carleton would be good.

Either university is good for me. After the Eastern Philosophy meeting, I had thought that a philosophy department might be eager to encourage Socrates Café Meet-ups. We might get a few of their philosophy students turning out. Also, some Sobey's grocery stores provide community meeting rooms at no charge. The room at the Kanata Sobey's is nice though far for everyone except me.

Meetup won't let me remove the date without setting a new one, so I just moved the Ethics meeting to the end of the month untill I figure out when the real date is. I have contacted the CU philosophy department to ask if we can one of their rooms, and I will do the same for uOttawa and the local libraries. Is Carleton a good location for everyone? I assume that public transport would be good there, but I might be wrong.

Perhaps everyone interested in attending could make some inquiries regarding the availability of other venues. Adam is already making an extraordinary effort by leading these discussions.

Just to let everyone know, I'm probably going to postpone this meetup another week so that I can find a new location or perhaps move it to the weekend. Any input would be appreciated.

I really prefer a quieter location as the noise level is not conducive to philosophical discussion.
