OPAG Monthly Meeting: Tornado+Raspberry Pi, source-compatible Python 2+3

  • Apr 25, 2013 · 7:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Speaker:Michael Soulier

Topic:Introduction to Tornado on the Raspberry Pi

Details:

I am working on a side project at work, porting an existing web interface and management framework from a generic Linux server to run on the Raspberry Pi. Given the resource-contrained environment I'm looking at replacing PostgreSQL and Django with Redis andTornado.

I will give a brief introduction to both and what I've learned so far, and bring my Raspberry Pi along for a simple demo.

Speaker:Ian Ward

Topic:Maintaining source-compatible code for Python 2 and 3

Details:

This talk is lifted from Daniel Lindsley. It covers conversion of a Python 2 program to a source-compatibile Python 2/3 program with the help of "six".
