Read, workshop, and chat (North)

Optional: Bring 3-4 copies of your latest poem, short story, or chapter (please try to keep it less than 3000 words).

We'll read all provided manuscripts, then discuss what worked well and what could be improved.

If time allows, we'll chat about miscellany. Actually, we'll do that anyway.

Howdy, weirdos! Looks like we have a full house tomorrow night with several first-timers. Keep in mind that no-showing leads to forced ejection from the group, and if you are not going to make it, you need to change your RSVP. Another group has the meeting room reserved at Monkey Nest, so I will get there early to wrangle a table for everyone. Since we have so many, we will likely split into 2 workshop groups, particularly if everyone brings a manuscript (which again, is not a requirement to attend). Private message me with any questions so as not to spam the group. See y'all tomorrow!

Question? I am writing my novel. I have not edited the work just yet. I am looking to see if people like the concept since I am close to finishing it. Would this be a problem?

    Also, feedback requested concerning:
    Open Mic Poetry...
how does a poet "protect" our original work?
Do you allow copies to be distributed, at request?
    If so, autograph the copy?
What are some suggested Open Mic Poetry spots in ATX? (new "import")

    Tips on "amateur" copyright protection?
The only feedback I've heard is to "mail" it to yourself w/ my signature on the back of the seal.
