Hi there.  Welcome to Weird Austin Writers.  If you’re a writer but your goal is to be an author...this is your place.  Whatever a writer writes is art from the mind.  We're a talented group who like getting and giving feedback for manuscripts.

This group is all about helping writers write better and get published.     

This Group will be doing: 

• 2 Read, Workshop, and Chat meetups per month
• 1 Brainstorming session to get feedback on pre-manuscript ideas
• 1 Book Review session, where you talk about books you've enjoyed or learned new writing techniques
  

Our semi-permanent meeting space is Monkey Nest Coffee on Burnet Rd. 

Now, our "Charter"

• We welcome newcomers. If you RSVP Yes to a meetup, come.
  
• If you RSVP Yes and No-Show 3 times, we will boot you from the group.
• Things happen, we know. If you RSVP Yes and find out you can't make it, change your reply at least 2 hours before the meetup, If you don't, it'll count as a no-show.
• We want honest feedback, but we don't want jerks. If you're a jerk when critiquing another writer, we'll politely ask you to never return.
