This is a beautiful park named for its abundant "tamarack" trees, which look like pines but are really softer, younger forest growth near marshes and wetlands. We'll hike about 2 miles of looped trails, give or take. I've only visited the park a couple of times, so bring your sense of adventure while we navigate the maps. They go in a circle so you can't get lost. Bring your water bottle(s), a snack and wear comfortable shoes. We will keep a moderate pace, hike with group etiquette of no one going out-of-sight of the main group.
No need to RSVP "no," but please RSVP "yes" responsibly and update later if you are unable to come. No-shows will be noted and may lose RSVP privileges in the future.
It's in White Bear Township, easy to find. Here's a map:
This hike is cross listed with St. Paul Out and About meetup.
