This is such a great park to hike, let's head back for a dip in the Willow River Falls!
Hike length: ~ 6.7 miles.
Hike Speed: ~3-3.5mph, with periodic stops that I am know for.
Elevation Change: ~345'
Dogs: Yes, On-Leash only
The trail up to the Overlook is a little steep, so I would recommend good hiking shoes and maybe a hiking pole. If you just want to hike to the falls and enjoy that area, the route is a fairly flat and easy hike.
*** As always you DO NOT have to RSVP NO. ***
CAR POOLING: I am interested in carpooling from my neck of the woods, West-NorthWest metro. We can meet at the Cub Foods at Hwy100 and 36th Avenue North. There is a parking area on the side of the store between the little plaza and Cub Foods. I have a Wisconsin park sticker and can take 3-4 other people into the park. A (Non-Res) daily pass at a Wisconsin park is $10 and a (Non-Res) annual pass, which is only good until December 31st, is $35.
DIRECTIONS TO WILLOW RIVER STATE PARK: take 94 east and stay on that until you see the brown sign indicating the exit to Willow River State Park. I believe it is exit #4. Take that exit and go north. Continue to follow the signs and the park will be on your left-hand side.
