Here is what the Outdoor Adventure Expo web site says about this seminar:
"As Europeans take their annual vacation in mass in the summer time, the bike path along Danube must be a bustling corridor, of which we experienced a deserted shadow with a particular charm, hard to define. Once in Vienna, trying to downplay our journey as quiet and somehow lonely, many argued that it is probably the best way to experience it.
There are several advantages for a Fall trip in this region. The month of October is the least rainy from June to December. The new wine is already available and many fruit trees along the path seem to have been planted for the lonely traveler. It felt like a subtle connection between us and the locals who planted those trees many years ago for our enjoyment. Additionally, there are much fewer cyclists to run into or to embarrass us with their better cycling abilities. The accommodations were plentiful to choose from, and negotiating prices became an additional sport to play."
