Tamarack Nature Center Short & Easy hike

New to hiking or haven't been out hiking in awhile, then this is the hike for you. I guess we could call it "Beginners Hike 201" as we've already had a "Beginners Hike 101."

Tamarack Nature Center offer a patch of nature, which is an easy and short hike through a marsh setting. For those interested in an easy hike we'll start out for about 1.5 miles and for those of us that want a longer hike we'll come back to the Visitors Center and hike the outer loop.

This hike is on page 233 of my "60 Hikes Within 60 Miles" book.  I haven't hiked this Nature Center before and am really looking forward to it. It's also a place that will have some awesome snowshoeing/XC skiing in the winter.

A great hike! Turned out to be a very nice day, and a nice place for a hike. I've skied there, but never hiked. I'll hike there again, since it's not so far from my home. Thanks Sue, for organizing! I like the starting time, too!

He showed up about an hour late, but it was nice to have the sun join us on our hike. Great group, great hike. I can't wait to try this place with snow shoes.

I live like 5 minutes from Tamarack so I have no excuse to miss this one :p However, I need to be in St. Paul at 3, so I probably won't have time for the longer hike :(
