Final Info night on Hiking in Switzerland

Hiking the Swiss Alps! Final planning meeting.

Well we've gotten the dates down, the places to stay and what some of the basic costs will be.

This final meeting will be about determining how many days people want their Swiss Rail pass for. What the cost of the Swiss Rail pass will be, what the overall cost of the trip will be, who is going to use frequently flyer miles and who isn't. As well as who might or might not be extending beyond the basic dates of the trip, which are June 20 - 29, 2013.

We'll also cover whatever else people would like addressed. If you have questions ahead of time please use the discussion format for this event. That way everyone will see the question. If I have the answer before Thursday night I'll also post it in the discussion are of the event.

For those ready to commit that can also be done on this night. I'll have a form for  people to complete. The cost to commit will be a $500 deposit. $75 of which is non-refundable if cancelling. So it will be very important that people know for sure if they do or don't want to do this trip.

Thanks Sue. You did a nice job of pulling the information together. I was hoping it would have been a little more interactive.

    Hi Sue
You didn’t mention lodging accommodations. Will there only be a choice between single and double rooms or did you check on the availability of the larger 4 to 6 person suites/apartments in the same hotels?

From my visit over there last month I found that these larger accommodations offered greater over all square footage per person, more amenities and at a lower cost. I am curious what the level of interest would be among the others. I also recognize that from your previous experience, you may have chosen to rule this option out, in which case I will not bring it up at the meeting.

Sorry if I am jumping the gun on lodging. Maybe you sort this out later. I've never traveled in a group like this before.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
