Winter Camping Trip - 1 Night - Starved Rock (Kevin)

If you want to X-County Ski. We can meet at Matthiessen at 10:00 am. There are six miles of cross-country ski trails with ski rental available weekends from December through March.

Update: 1/12: Camping will be $25 per site a night. I was wrong, there is a shower building open. After you find me. Pick a site then you stop at the permit booth, fill out a self check in permit with your fee, and drop it in the slot. It's self explanatory.

People been asking me to setup an Winter Camping Trip. So here I go.

Will meet at Starved Rock Campground after 2:00. Site number to be determined. You can have 4 people and 2 tents per site. The sites are $20 - $30 per night. Let's try to double up. The sites do have electricity if you want to bring electric heaters. (Please be very careful with the heaters!) (Target has good prices on electric heaters.) The showers are not open. They will only have pit toilets available.

I have a 10 x 16 cabin tent that I can put 2 x 6 foot tables in and heat it. We can use this for meals and entertainment (Cards, etc.). We should be able to seat 12? I will need help putting up this tent.

We will pitch in for food. I'll bring a stove and pot and pans. I'll be using a 2 room 9 x 12 cabin tent with a heater. If someone want to use the other room, let me know.

I will be setting up a group hike on Sunday.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
