Let's Take a Hike: Indiana Dunes
Let's meet at the Nature Center at 10:15 am and plan on starting the hike at 10:30. We will hike roughly 8 miles. If you look the map: We will go Trail 8 to 2 to 10 back to 8 then back to nature center. Trail 8 is rugged. People might want to opt for Trail 7 or 4 back to the Nature Center.
Entrance fee is $10 per car.
If you are looking for a ride or can offer a ride, please state so in your RSVP. Don't forget to put your location!

Indiana Dunes State Park

Chesterton, IN 46304
About the park:
Indiana Dunes State Park consists of 2,182 acres of primitive, beautiful, historic, and amazingly unique Hoosier landscape. It lies at the north end of State Road 49 in Porter County and includes more than three miles of beautiful beach along Lake Michigan’s southern shore. In the early 1900’s scientists, recreationists, and nature enthusiasts, recognizing the value and potential of the Indiana dunes area, fought to have the region preserved. As a result, in 1925, the State Park was established.
Is anyone interested in camping there Saturday Night, April 17? If the forecast looks good, I'll post a one night camping trip. I won't be able to get there until around 6:00 pm.
