Beutiful museum and good tour. Not too many people showed up but the few who went made up for it.

I like both of these restaurants, but would choose the Ukrainian for a large group on a Saturday. Velselka really isn't set up for large groups and is very busy on Saturdays.

Thank you for your suggestion! I was thinking of the same thing. I just didn't know how big either restaurant was. I'm going to put in a reservation for us for about 2:00 or 2:15 pm. The tour is supposed to run from noon to 1:30 pm. I thought I would factor in walking time there & if anyone wanted to browse the gift shop. I appreciate your letting me know about Veselka. Looking forward to seeing you!

Is the museum open now? You mentioned that it was closed because of hurricane Sandy.

Yes, it is open now. It reopened several days later, which is when I called them to arrange a guided tour. Sorry, should have updated that. I'm wondering if I should make reservations at 1 of the above-mentioned restaurants since we are a somewhat large group. So far, the weather for that day looks good, if a bit cold. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.

You might want to mention that there is an admission fee to the museum so people are not surprised.

Thank you for pointing that out! I had hoped to connect with the museum to inquire about a guided tour, but right now they are closed due to Hurricane Sandy.
