O Brother, Where Art Thou?

An opportunity to see this classic piece of cinema. Very entertaining and works best on a cinema screen. Ideal for a lazy Sunday pm.

Inspired by Homer's Odyssey, O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU? is an example of the Coen brothers (FARGO, THE BIG LEBOWSKI) at their best.

A delightful shaggy-dog story in which George Clooney stars as Ulysses McGill, an utterly charming escaped convict, joined by a ball and chain to his two affable cohorts as they travel cross-state on a mission to find treasure, or so they think.

Set in Depression-era Deep South, their journey brings them into contact with a whole host of larger-than-life characters, including Big Dan Teague, a smooth-talking crook played by Coen brothers stalwart John Goodman. O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU? also boasts a marvellous blue-grass soundtrack, which will keep your feet tapping all the way through.

Suggest we meet in the cinema bar from 2.00pm and have a leisurely drink and discussion afterwards at a nearby tavern!

A classic piece of cinema from the Coen brothers. Great entertainment. Full of characters and beautifully filmed. Maybe not their finest, but up there.

Great support for this film, thanks. Just booked my ticket online. In view of nos some of you may care to do the same rather than chance on the day. See you there!
