An opportunity to see this classic piece of cinema. Very entertaining and works best on a cinema screen. Ideal for a lazy Sunday pm.
Inspired by Homer's Odyssey, O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU? is an example of the Coen brothers (FARGO, THE BIG LEBOWSKI) at their best.
A delightful shaggy-dog story in which George Clooney stars as Ulysses McGill, an utterly charming escaped convict, joined by a ball and chain to his two affable cohorts as they travel cross-state on a mission to find treasure, or so they think.
Set in Depression-era Deep South, their journey brings them into contact with a whole host of larger-than-life characters, including Big Dan Teague, a smooth-talking crook played by Coen brothers stalwart John Goodman. O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU? also boasts a marvellous blue-grass soundtrack, which will keep your feet tapping all the way through.
Suggest we meet in the cinema bar from 2.00pm and have a leisurely drink and discussion afterwards at a nearby tavern!
