This is a festival that is very local. My flatmate is also a volunteer and helping organise the event. She will also be performing which I know a few of you enjoyed her performance at the Jamboree a few months back. They have early bird tickets for sale now £48.15 (including booking fee) for 3 days and camping. I'm not sure how much they go up to when they are no early bird. So if your interest its probably best to book sooner rather than later. I might not camp but it is close enough to go for the days. I'll be cycling and apparently they do group cycles from Oxford. Here is the introduction on their website and at the bottom I will put the link in. Pan-European, intimate and inspiring, Tandem festival showcases musicians & performers from many backgrounds in the great outdoors, juxtaposed with workshops, documentaries and talks promoting community projects and eco-living, all whilst making as little environmental impact as we can. Set in Hill End's stunning 63 acres site, the festival will bring together music lovers of all ages to listen, learn, and dance together.
At Tandem Festival, listening is key. Our acoustic performance spaces, from barns to yurts, will bring you closer to the music, enabling the rediscovery of music without large amplification. Exploring the possibilities of European mobility, we're inviting performers from the continent to join in the celebration, by bike when possible!
Tandem Festival isn't about music alone. Environmentally, the event will serve as a medium to inform and teach about key environmental issues such as food waste, recycling, climate change and, energy production and consumption. Speakers and documentaries will focus on these topics throughout the festival, whilst workshops will facilitate learning in a fun, hands-on environment!
