Fortnight

Fortnight

Monday 30 September

Oxford | Playhouse Plays Out

Something brilliant, beautiful and unique is coming to Oxford. Part theatrical magic, part philosophical treasure hunt, Fortnight is a thrilling experience for 200 people.

Have no idea what it's about but looks fun. You get texts about the events, don't have to go to everything. Goes on for two weeks.

I won't be hosting this event as such, as events are happening over two weeks, but will swop my mobile number with anyone else who signs up.

Once you have signed up you should be sent an email, if you follow the link in it you can buy your ticket online.

Sorry it seems Neil has modified this meetup event. IT IS NOT OVER and it will continue for the next two weeks.

Hi everyone lucky enough to be doing the Fortnight thang - and those not so lucky or having problems.
I hate to be a total kill joy and you can certainly hate me for it if you like - fair enough - but would it be possible to ask that there be a bit less of an open discussion about it all via this site.
I may be the only one in this position, but i get Art Group emails direct into my inbox - which i see throughout my working day. Usually I don't want to miss anything, hence the set up, rather than directing the alerts to somewhere else.
However, in this instance, one of the major themes of Fortnight is that it's incredibly mysterious, secretive and a constant surprise. Because my emails pop up in front of my face, I can't help but be made aware of everything that's being said about it and the discussions are rather diminishing the intrigue of the whole thing! Would it be OK to ask that if you want to talk about fortnight that it be done privately?
    Thanks

This is the first day - as the others felt they were missing out tonight I thought it only fair to update them. You can change your email settings In your profile. Hope I haven't spoilt your enjoyment too much.

Rather frustratingly, I had to enter a friend's address to register for this, as it wouldn't take an OX5 post code, so my pack is at a friend's house! I keep getting texts. I also completely forgot when I signed up for this that I have to go for a drink's reception for work this evening so am unlikely to make it to Malmaison! Not sure I've got off to the best start here....

I haven't received the pack at all as they had my flat number listed incorrectly! I'll need to have another look when I get home. Not sure I'll make Malmaison either (I keep getting texts) as I'm doing something else this evening too. I might have known that having a social life would be the death of me... ;)

Agree tempting and mysterious but hesitate as don't know whether events are in day or evening or mix. Can anyone who's been before help on that?

Once you've bought your ticket they mention four evenings you might like to keep free- but I think things are happening during the day as well- they hint anything can happen at anytime

Looks very mysterious, so am tempted to give it a go. I haven't bought my ticket yet, as just pondering it....

Sign up and remain totally in the dark as to what the hell will happen. Even receiving the texts is kind of exciting though - and by the time it comes to the event, thing, er... experience/s (whatever it turns out to be), if it's rubbish, you'll have forgotten all about the £20 you spent. I already have.
If it's brilliant, you will congratulate yourself on making such a cool decision!
