We've been known to sample quite a few open mics/cabaret evenings in Oxford during our time, but this is a new one (for us, at least) and looks to be rather more homely, not to mention creative, than most.
Yes, it's VERY East Oxford...all the usual suspects, Trev Williams, Claire Le Master, Luke Keegan, dear old Merlin and company are generally in residence, sketching, crafting or playing, and tonight's headliners are the equally cornbury, but actually rather lovely, Swindlestock.
It's free, it's friendly, it's a glimpse of what might be if we weren't all busy being smartarses on Twitface, and I guess, deep down inside, everyone has a bit of East Oxford inside them....even if it's only the Firry pizzas retailing at an eco-friendly £10 for two.
Mine's a pint of something alcobucolic and a canal boat trip to a better place...
Meet inside from 7.30. Musical vibes from 8.30.
PS If you want to craft you own arts group signs - I'll bring along some materials!
