Join us for a 3 day / 2 night stay at Mohican Wilderness Campgrounds. Plan to kayak on Saturday and again on Sunday at around noon. I plan to primitive camp both Friday and Saturday night. If anyone is interested in joining me on Friday or Saturday night, the rate will be split up between us. I can add 3 more adults to my campsite. The limit is 4 adults per primitive sites. The nightly rate for two adults is $25. Each additional adult is $8.00 per person. If you chose to camp at an electric site, you will be responsible for making your own reservations. Here is a link to their website. http://www.mohicanwilderness.com/index.php
If you are not interested in camping you can join us on Saturday or Sunday for an 8 mile trip down the Mohican River. The river is mostly flat water so beginners are welcome to paddle.
Mohican Wilderness offers canoe rentals for the trip we plan to take so if you need a boat you will need to make those arrangements yourself.
If you do not camp or rent a canoe, there will be a parking fee of $5.00 for either day you plan to paddle. Shuttle arrangements will be made on Saturday and Sunday at the time we meetup.
Plan on bringing bug spray, sunscreen, a lunch (if you're not camping) plenty of food if you do camp and plenty of fluids. I have a two room tent that sleeps 6 comfortably if anyone is in need. If you are not camping, plan to meetup at 10 am at the campground office on Saturday and/or Sunday.
